WE SIGNED & SUPPORT THE OPEN LETTER
As the Founder of Female Filmmakers Fuse, part of the reason the organization was formed was due to the safety of many victims of assault, sexual assault and harassment linked with the entertainment industry. In 2016, I wrote a screenplay that was inspired by true events focusing on rape culture. I connected with a licensed therapist that specializes in PTSD, survivors of sexual, physical, emotional abuse. I am trauma informed and continue my studies for years to present day. It's an on-going study that I am committed towards. I'm an advocate. I have a legal background, and watched the trial in its entirety with a clear and open mind as I was not a fan of either Amber Heard or Johnny Depp. I went above and beyond, reading court documents, including recently release documents that showcased a great deal more in support of Amber Heard. I also took the time to be informed with the UK trial. I came in unbiased. I noticed the amount of disinformation being spread online, including the spike in harassment, bullying, victim blaming and vitriol for which I found appalling and all towards Amber Heard and anyone that spoke out in her favor or defense. The attacks on social media continue, with gaslighting. It is for this reason that I as the Founder and representative of Female Filmmakers Fuse have signed our support in the Open Letter.
